Origin EduWeb company was incorporated in 1998, with only four employees, from the Genesis Incubator program of PUC-Rio, with which it still maintains, to date, through the Software Engineering Lab (LES), a close partnership, especially in the area of technological solutions development. In 2000, EduWeb obtained a graduation from the Incubator and moved to the Downtown Office Complex, in the Barra da Tijuca district, where it is currently located, in an area that has become an important Technological Center. In February 2002, the company received funds from BNDES (National Bank of Economic and Social Development) to be invested in prospecting new markets abroad. The company's customer portfolio consists of government agencies, teaching institutions and large companies that seek EduWeb's expertise, services, and products to develop online excellence courses, virtual stores and web solutions.
